In Case You Missed Them, Top #SFBatKid Tweets

It’s amazing to see all the support given to a young boy, Miles, who is being treated to a day he’ll always remember by the Make A Wish Foundation. Miles saw San Francisco transformed today and he went on an adventure as his idol, Batman. The city of San Francisco became Gotham for one special day and the Twittersphere was lighting up over it as it followed and contributed to the #SFBatKid hashtag. Continue reading

#Craftcation – Sew Good

My wife sends out smartly wrapped packages to friends across the country, hosts family craft days, watches tons of crafting videos while tweeting or Facebooking with crafty friends and I even joined her on a crafting cruise a few years back. So it was no surprise when she decided to volunteer at this year’s Craftcation conference here in nearby Ventura. Continue reading

A Vine for its Time

I’m addicted to Vine, Twitter’s recently acquired 6-second video service. I Vine my dog-walking, my coffee-making, my cookie-baking, my car-washing. I Vine everything but my wife, and only because she won’t allow it. (If I ever do, I’ll also Vine my time in the doghouse after she finds out.)

New Media Strategies for Reaching Latino Voters

This election season, voters accessed candidate and proposition information in many more ways than in previous years.

We still received the stack of campaign literature in our mailboxes, were exposed to a barrage of ads on our TVs and received more than our fair share of after dinner phone calls asking for our support, money and time, but there were a few new “touches” added to this year’s election material mix, many on social media and mobile platforms.
