The Latino Book & Family Festival has been around since 1997, when Edward James Olmos first co-produced it. Olmos has been one of my heroes since way back, since the days he was the Pachuco in the classic film Zoot Suit. When I arrived at the Festival at Cal State LA and saw his booth, I knew he would be near. I was now in pursuit.

I’m pretty excited because the ISA Expo in Houston, TX was the first electronics industry trade show where there was a significant amount of Twittering going on.
With mounting medical bills, Monique Zimmerman-Stein is ceasing treatment so she can help daughters preserve their sight. Monique and her daughters have a rare genetic condition called Sticker Syndrome.

I had to take the night to think about Seth Godin’s recent post on his company’s launching of Brands in Public.
A recent poll of Twitter users shows that the top two reasons people mark a tweet as a Favorite is:
A) to “bookmark” it for future use (41%)
B) to “reward” the tweet (41%)
Twitter is becoming increasingly important at dealing with business PR crises. We’ve seen companies with a strong Twitter presence diffuse huge PR trainwrecks and others that take an Internet eon to figure out they’d better respond.
