I had just returned from a day at California’s Coast Clean-up when I saw Twitter blowing up with news on peaceful protests in New York City.
The #OccupyWallStreet and #TakeWallStreet hashtag streams are filled with tweets about the protests and estimates of 50,000 people in on the protest. I haven’t found any trustworthy sources yet that have put the number that high. CNN Money’s Julianne Pepitone is reporting from the scene and put the number in the hundreds, still a respectable protest size.
