When Shel invited me, I knew that I had to attend. What could be better than to celebrate his book about the Twitter community?
I drove up from Santa Paula and stayed in Redwood City, where I once taught middle school. I knew the area well because I went to college at Stanford and my wife and I visited several old haunts.
Meeting several Twitterers is like meeting up with old friends. The only person I had met in real life before he book party was Tanya Noel, but many Twitter handles, faces, and names were very familiar. I also met many new folks with whom I’d like to stay in touch.
I’ve started reading Twitterville and it is excellent. I highly recommend you buy this valuable resource.
