So far, efforts to create the community garden have been rebuffed by the superintendent. But this Sunday they started a new garden in a person’s private garden. It’s a good start. The goal here is to build power in the community but it is also about learning the process. It isn’t always a smooth one. This is also part of CAUSE’s grassroots organizing efforts.
